Post Bday Blues

A wonderful first birthday was had by both girls. We went to JC Penney's and had a family photo and their 12 mo pics done. They turned out pretty cute, but so are my girls so no real suprise there! Hee-hee. Got some holiday shopping done and ended it with Addi taking her first real steps! I have some great video of it, but of course our video camera stinks and is apparently out of batteries. Sucky. It was adorable though and we just happened to catch it on video.

Today was a trip to the doctor's office and the big weigh in. What a bunch of runters! Addi weighed in at 17lb 8oz and Lili at 18lb 2oz putting them in the 4th and 8th %s respectively. Ugh. However they are still growing very well height wise as well as their head circumference. This is a good indicator that their nutrition is good, but they are simply more active and burning off calories about as fast as we can get them in. After 5 shots and a finger poke to check their hemoglobin and lead levels they were definitely ready for a nap. Asleep in the car before we even got out of the lot. We have some very happy and rambunctious girls now though. Lili is using her walking toy as a step stool to try to climb onto the couch- thanks Nana and Gpa! It's cute though, you point down and say "get down" and she just looks at you serious like and points down and says "get down" and then smiles and continues to climb upwards. Lord, help us.
