Today was our 15 month check up. All went well. The girls seem to be right on track. What a relief. You know you are a first time mom when you spend your time not just worrying that your kids aren't doing things they should be, but perhaps they are doing things they shouldn't- "Should they really be able to kick a ball already? Are they TOO smart?" For the love of pete who else would worry their kids are too smart?! Turns out they are just normal. Lili came in at a whopping 20 lbs and Addi 19 lbs 6oz. Both girls are 30in tall and in the 92% for heads. They are flaunting what Dr. Kulus likes to call the "Alien Look"- big heads little bitty bodies. At least they pull it off well. Now if only we could grow some more locks and ditch this mullet look.
With Dr K's insistence we finally broke out the tub markers to practice our scribbling. Imagine, an art major mama who hasn't even let her kids practice their scribbling yet. Who knew you were suppose to do such things this early. Scribble we did a little, eat our markers we did a lot. I don't think she meant color our tongues. Oh well. Practice makes perfect.
So, all in all I feel better hearing that we are right on track. I often worry that coming early might have slowed them down or done some sort of harm we just aren't able to see yet. Turns out they are thriving (just measure their noggin's if you don't believe me).
PERFECT...just like I thought!
