Black and blue and bruised all over

Oh what a week. The girls have learned to climb up on the couch now. This is evidenced by the large goose egg that resides on Addi's forehead. Gravity is a hard, hard lesson to learn, folks. Boy were there tears! That didn't stop us from falling off again about a half hour later. And it sure doesn't stop us from running on the couch every chance we get.  Man, just look at how bulbous and blue that thing is. Ouch. How they will ever survive to their next birthday is unsure.

It's been so nice out lately. While in Maple Grove last weekend buying a new baby gate for our archway (as the ghetto coffee table pushed up against the wall has become scalable now) we took time to wander about and enjoy the Arbor Lakes Mall. The girls even made a few friends. A nice young boy of about 2 yrs seemed smitten and they also befriended a set of boy-boy twins about 9 yrs old. They assured me that being twins is good sometimes, though lots of time their is fighting over toys and things. Really? Good to know. It does not seem to be a good omen that they attract so much attention everywhere they go. They are pretty adorable and the only thing that lets me sleep at night is the knowledge that Hugh Hefner has to die well before they turn 18.

Otherwise, it has been a quiet weekend which is just what we needed. We've been enjoying our wagon and even played in the backyard a bit. Still quite a bit of crap to be picked up before we can really run about in the grass- literally. Some days I really hate being a dog owner. Yuck.
