Hurray!

Lili and Addi finally got to spend a little time together yesterday and I think Addi passed on some of her wisdom to her sister. When we went in to visit today we found Lili hanging out without any oxygen or nasal cannula! It was so exciting to see our daughter's face again. She continues to breathe too quickly to work on breastfeedings at this time, but hopefully that too will change any day now. Addi took off on her feeding today; too bad there wasn't any reward for her hard work. We tried again a little later in the day, but I think she'd caught on and just kept fussing about it until she finally gave up and went to sleep. She is a young lady who definitely knows what she wants out of life and right now that seems to be snuggling and boob juice. Her sister seems to be a little more mellow and is content with snuggling and sleeping.

  1. Awesome!!!

So glad to hear everyone is doing well - and better!

My parents used several tricks to tell my sister and me apart when we were babies. Emily was always dressed in yellow, I was always dressed in pink. To help with that - they painted my big toe nails pink and no nail polish on Emily's toes in case we were in our birthday suits. That helped a lot with making sure they didn't mix up medications or feed one of us twice and forget to feed the other!

    Cheers,
    Abby
