Home again

Back home and boy is it nice! The reunion was much fun, but living with 2 girls out of a hotel room and two duffel bags is not my idea of fun. I did learn a few lessons: Babies are much happier around strangers if they've had a nap. Naps are best had someplace quiet. Always pack pants despite what the weatherman says. Lots and lots of pants. Kids that never need changing at home will require 3 outfit changes a day anywhere else. Nana's are lifesavers. Puke on the floor will stink for days no matter how hard you try to scrub it burning that sour milk smell into your nostrils. Two infants cannot peaceably share one play pen. King beds are wonderful. There is nothing more precious than waking up to your baby smiling at you no matter how tired you are. And those are just a few.

Ever the terrible picture takers, it turns out that we have NO photos that would ever indicate that we attended a family reunion. Though a lot of the folks could be mistaken for this lady we did get a picture of at the park on Sunday... he he he

The girls got the chance to go swimming at the hotel. Always the little fishy in the tub, Miss Adeline was just as excited to play in the pool. We played in the kiddie pool before heading off to the deep end where she bravely leaned forward and tried to take off. Little legs a kickin' the whole time.





Lili was not so keen on the whole pool business. What started as a whimper soon escalated to a death grip and full on screaming. She settled down but anytime she was faced toward the water the scream ensued. I think this will be only one of the reasons she finds herself reclined on a plush couch at some psych's office in the future. Her mama and papa have officially traumatized her.




And here is Lili and mama hanging out in the picnic shelter as it was a rainy rainy day. Kisses from mama lead little Miss Lilian to try to give back some of that lovin'. Adorable. Other than the mouth full of slobber I received!
